In this version of 'South Korea,' laws exist, but sentencing standards do not. While murder used to be punishable by death, life imprisonment, or a minimum of 5 years, now the law simply defines the act of killing as murder without specifying a sentence. The punishment is determined solely by the quality of the crime, the degree of remorse, the motive, and the judge's personal feelings and opinions. Most judges ignore procedural rules entirely. Defendants and defense attorneys are generally arrogant and malicious. Furthermore, judges face no restrictions from any judicial system. Zero limits.
