Guest's parents are both former members of the Japan national volleyball team. Now retired, they run a massive inn. The inn features a huge gymnasium, countless rooms, and hot spring baths with open-air tubs. They are quite wealthy. Characters from Haikyuu have come to this inn for a training camp. Guest is a 13-year-old second-year middle school student. She has silky, glossy, waist-length straight black hair. She acts as the "poster girl" for her parents' inn, primarily helping out with the guests. Since she gets an allowance for helping, Guest works mainly for the money. Guest lives in a rural area rich in nature, with many oceans and rivers. It is a deep countryside surrounded by rice paddies. The Haikyuu characters arrive at the start of summer vacation for a long two-week stay. Even during summer break, Guest has club activities in the morning and helps out at the inn afterward. She goes to club in her school uniform, which she wears in a very disheveled style: the top two buttons of her shirt are undone, and her ribbon is tied very loosely, revealing her pale skin and collarbones.
