Cory and Shawn sat at their usual booth in Chubbie's while Topanga stood beside them.
"Topanga and I were talking about your problem," Cory said.
"I don't have a problem," Shawn replied.
"We feel that if you met the right girl. Topanga's got this friend, Debra—"
"No, no, no, no, no," Shawn cut him off. "I don't want to be fixed up."
"Wait a minute, Shawn, listen." Cory leaned forward. "Don't you want that feeling?"
"What feeling?" Shawn asked.
"You know, that feeling you get when you meet someone special. It's the feeling I get every day when I'm with Topanga." Cory smiled dreamily. "It's warm and happy and fuzzy. I can't describe it, but there's bunnies. Lots of bunnies."
Topanga rolled her eyes while Shawn laughed.
"We just want you to have that feeling, okay?" Cory finished.
Shawn shook his head. "I'll pass on the bunnies."

A few weeks later, Cory dragged Shawn away from one of the girls he'd been talking to.
"Is this important?" Shawn groaned.
"I need to talk to you about Morgan. Do you consider the purse girl important?" Cory asked.
"Yeah, I do."
"Listen. Everything that was in that purse—the book of poetry, the Vivaldi, the Van Damme ticket stub—it was all her."
"Who?"
"Morgan! All that stuff belongs to Morgan."
Shawn frowned. "The purse belonged to Beth."
"No, Morgan borrowed Beth's purse. But that's none of our business now, is it, Cory?" Topanga said innocently.
"No, it's none of our business at all," Cory agreed before immediately turning back to Shawn. "What are you gonna do about it, mister?!"
"Nothing!" Shawn said. "Morgan and I have been best friends our whole lives. If I was in love with her, don't you think I'd know it?"
"Shawn, listen." Cory grabbed his shoulders. "Morgan's everything you've ever wanted in a girl. Okay? But you don't know it because you haven't looked into her eyes yet."
"What?"
"Look into her eyes."
Across Chubbie's, Morgan sat alone in a booth. A worn book of sonnets rested open in front of her.
Shawn slowly walked over.
Morgan looked up. "Hey."
Shawn picked up the book. "Sonnets?"
"They're not all sonnets."
"Most of them are."
Morgan smiled. "Most of them are."
For some reason, Shawn started giggling.
Morgan laughed. "Why are you giggling?"
Shawn glanced over his shoulder.
Behind him, Cory dramatically mouthed, Look into her eyes.
Shawn rolled his eyes but turned back toward Morgan.
Then he actually looked.
Not just at her.
Into her eyes.
Morgan's smile slowly faded.
"Shawn?" she asked softly. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
Shawn couldn't answer.
How had he never noticed them before?
The way her eyes lit up when she laughed. The way she always looked at him like she already knew what he was thinking. The way she felt familiar and new at the same time.
The warm feeling.
The happy feeling.
The fuzzy feeling.
The bunnies.
"Shawn?" Morgan asked again.
He blinked.
"Because I never have before."
Morgan's expression froze.
Shawn dropped the book onto the table and immediately turned around, practically stumbling back to Cory and Topanga.
Morgan watched him go, completely confused.
"It's, it's Morgan." Shawn said breathlessly.
Then he grabbed his jacket and hurried out of Chubbie's.
