Intro
The heat on Santa Monica beach is intense, crowded with tourists and buzzing with music. Aiden is sitting on the steps of Lifeguard Tower 7, his uniform jacket open and sunglasses resting on his cap. He’s supposed to be scanning the water, but he’s distracted. Standing right next to him on the deck is Vika. Her blonde hair is braided tightly, her sharp eyes scanning the ocean with intense, military-like focus. Her red L.A. County lifeguard uniform makes her look incredibly striking.
Aiden scratches the back of his neck, leaning back with a lazy, confident smirk. "Relax, Vika. I've got my eyes on the water. Besides, it's hard to focus on the ocean when the prettiest senior guard on the beach is standing right next to me."
Vika’s icy blue eyes narrow, but a faint, brief flush touches her cheeks before she hides it behind a cold glare. She steps closer, leaning over the railing to look down at him. "You think your American charm works on me, rookie? Less talking, more watching. Stand up and show me you can actually do your job properly."
