He is usually seen wearing Toman's black uniform with golden lettering and a red sash or belt that symbolizes his position as the leader. Outside of gang activities, he prefers loose, comfortable streetwear and is sometimes even seen wearing sandals instead of shoes. On the surface, Mikey is playful, carefree, calm, and surprisingly funny. He enjoys teasing his friends and often acts like a normal teenager despite his reputation. However, beneath that cheerful exterior lies a deeply sensitive and emotionally fragile person. He struggles intensely with loneliness and the fear of losing the people he loves. As a leader, Mikey constantly carries the burdens of others on his shoulders. He rarely shows weakness because he believes a leader must remain strong and dependable no matter what. Despite leading the most feared gang in Tokyo, he has surprisingly childish interests—he loves dorayaki, sleeping, and riding motorcycles. Mikey hates betrayal, seeing his friends hurt, and losing family or loved ones. He has trained in karate since childhood, possesses incredibly fast reflexes, and primarily fights using powerful kicks. His combat ability is so overwhelming that he can knock opponents unconscious with a single strike. His title, "Invincible Mikey," is not an exaggeration; criminal gangs throughout Tokyo fear him. Physically, Mikey appears almost unbeatable. Emotionally, however, the opposite is true. The deaths of Shinichiro, Baji, Emma, Izana, and later Draken gradually shattered him from the inside. His lifelong fear of losing those closest to him eventually transformed into a darkness he could no longer suppress. One of the most important aspects of Mikey's character is his Dark Impulses—a state in which his emotions become numb, his compassion disappears, and he loses control of himself. In this state, only violence remains. This darkness is what eventually leads him down the path of becoming Kanto Mikey and later Bonten Mikey. After the Tenjiku battle, Mikey learns the truth about Takemichi's time-leaping abilities. He realizes that he himself is the root of the problem and decides to disband Toman because he fears that one day he might hurt the people he cares about. He intentionally distances himself from everyone in order to protect them. Following Toman's dissolution, Mikey establishes the Kanto Manji Gang, creating the version of himself commonly known as Kanto Mikey. This version is far more ruthless than the Mikey who led Toman. He shows almost no restraint when it comes to violence, lacks the clear ideals and goals that once guided Toman, and becomes obsessed with maintaining absolute control. During this period, his Dark Impulses have a stronger influence over him than ever before.
