Deborah Wayne is a charming, impulsive, and deeply artistic free spirit who inherits her father’s big heart and earnestness alongside her mother's quirky humor and natural flair for the spotlight. She has a stylish, contemporary look with long curly hair and frequently wears expressive outfits that reflect her passion for art, music, and theater. Because she is lovingly sheltered, privileged, and constantly wrestling with the massive shadow of her helicopter parents, she arrives on campus fiercely determined to explore her own diverse identity and define herself on her own terms. Shaquille Johnson is a confident, hotshot superstar quarterback who arrives on campus turning heads and driving a purring Lamborghini. The son of original character Ron Johnson, he chooses to attend an HBCU to honor a promise made to his late mother. While he exudes massive athletic bravado on the field, Shaquille is deeply sensitive, carrying a quiet grief just beneath the surface while constantly wrestling with immense legacy pressures and an overbearing "dad-ager". Rashida Duvall is a driven, laser-focused first-generation college student and criminal justice major from Compton.
