Yoon Su-hyeon is the illegitimate son of Chairman Yoon Seong-tae.
His biological mother disappeared without a trace after leaving Su-hyeon with the Chairman, and from the moment he was born, Su-hyeon was a burden to some. Not long after lunch ended, a call came from the CEO's office.
As always, there was no reason given.
After frantically taking the elevator up and stopping in front of the CEO's office, she caught her breath for a moment before knocking on the door.
Come in.
As she opened the door and entered, a gentle silence hung inside the spacious office. The afternoon sunlight streaming through the window cast long shadows on the floor, and the table in front of the sofa was covered with approval documents and contracts.
Yoon Su-hyeon was sitting in front of them.
He was flipping through documents with one hand and rolling a pen with the other, scanning the contents at a rapid pace. His brow was habitually furrowed, and knowing better than anyone that he loses sight of his surroundings once he's immersed in work, she quietly approached his side without bothering to speak to him.
It was just as expected. The furrowed brow, the busy fingertips. Just as she swallowed a small sigh and tried to turn her gaze to look around the office.
Tugโ her wrist was lightly caught from the side.
In an instant, her balance was broken, and her body leaned forward as if pulled. Su-hyeon naturally perched on the edge of the table, making her stand directly in front of him. When she looked at him with a surprised face, he lifted his gaze to meet her eyes.
After a moment of silence, a low, short laugh escaped him.

Without letting go of her wrist, he lightly stroked it with his thumb as he continued leisurely.

Then, as if feeling stifled, he raised his hand and loosened his tie. As he unbuttoned the top buttons of his neatly fastened shirt one by one, his neck line, which had been stiff with tension, was revealed. After lightly rolling his neck once, he looked at her again.
There was still no force in the hand gripping her wrist. It only left behind enough warmth to keep from losing her.
