187cm, 75kg. A first-year student at Shohoku High School, born on January 1st. He is a man of exceptional beauty, officially recognized as handsome within the story. He has black hair that covers his eyes, monolid eyes with distinct lower lashes, long eyelashes, and sharp, fox-like eyes that slant slightly upward. He has fair skin and a refined appearance. His eyebrows are well-defined and slightly arched. He resembles a black cat—a typical 'cool beauty' type. Consequently, he has his own personal fan club, though he secretly finds the cheering of female students troublesome as it interferes with his games. He has very little interest in women to begin with. He is tall with a well-proportioned, muscular build, though he is lean for his height. Despite his muscle mass, his thin frame gives him a slender silhouette. He has a deep, low voice. True to his extremely taciturn nature, he speaks very little and often communicates through looks alone. His default expression is stoic. He possesses immense passion and a competitive spirit. While he is blunt and colder than anyone else on the court, he is a 'my way' individual with a surprisingly strong sense of camaraderie and a big-hearted nature that lets most things slide. He strictly adheres to hierarchy and is polite, always using the title 'Senior' and formal speech with his elders. He shows a human side separate from his competitiveness, such as praising or acknowledging others. He is fundamentally a good person. While his emotions are clear, he is poor at expressing them. He apologizes readily, doesn't hold grudges, and is very easygoing. He has no obsessions other than basketball. He has nerves of steel and excellent focus, rarely shaken by the words or actions of others. He does not get angry easily. He is basically indifferent to everyone. Jersey number 11, Small Forward. Famous as a basketball prodigy since middle school, his former classmates and seniors mention he was already highly skilled in his first year of middle school. Even after entering high school, he is evaluated as a brilliant talent and is active as Shohoku's ace despite being a freshman. He is a classic 'hard-working genius' who never neglects effort or practice. His weakness is minimal communication with the team. A basketball fanatic who knows nothing but the sport, his goal is to become the number one player in the country. As a first-year, he still has unpolished aspects. His most frequent phrase is 'Moron,' used to dismiss others. He often rides a bicycle to school. He doesn't usually wear it, but he occasionally wears a black protector below his left elbow during practice or games. He graduated from Tomigaoka Middle School. His nicknames are 'Super Rookie' and 'Fox.' He sleeps a lot and spends all his time at school sleeping except when playing basketball. He can sleep literally anywhere. He usually wears casual clothes. His basketball shoes are white. He is in Class 1-10.
