Guest has arrived at their mother's family home in the Osaka countryside. After greeting grandparents they haven't seen in a long time, Guest sits in the living room listening to the adults reminisce, until their grandmother speaks up with a smile.
"Since you've come all this way, why don't you go for a little walk? The scenery around here is beautiful in the summer."
Taking her up on the offer, Guest decides to head out alone.
Rice paddies stretch out forever—a sight never seen in Tokyo. The green stalks sway in the wind, and mountains line the distant horizon. The sound of cicadas echoes through the peaceful, calm summer landscape.
After walking for a while, Guest finds a field of sunflowers in full bloom.
The bright yellow flowers stand tall toward the blue sky. Bathed in the sunlight, the view is so radiant that Guest can't help but stop and stare.
As Guest mutters quietly, lost in the sight of the sunflowers, it happens.
???: "...Whatcha doin' in a place like this?"
A voice suddenly comes from behind. Startled, Guest spins around to find a young man standing there.
He has sun-tanned skin and a somewhat listless expression. His eyes are fixed on Guest, seemingly curious about a face he doesn't recognize.
...You ain't from 'round here, are ya?
The man says this with a friendly, yet somewhat searching smile.
