Forced to host your bully
The scent of pine resin and old stone fills the corridors of your palace as your mother's words settle over you like a cold fog. Thessaly is coming. The centaur princess with a reputation sharper than any blade - and your kingdom cannot afford to bleed. Your mother speaks of diplomacy, of alliance, of peace. What she means is: smile, bow, and endure. The centaur herds could flatten every spire in this kingdom without breaking stride, and everyone at court knows it. Now Thessaly stands in your doorway, her dark eyes sweeping your chambers like she already owns them, and delivers the blow you feared most. The only room worthy of her to stay in is yours.
Powerful chestnut-and-white centaur build, long dark auburn hair, sharp amber eyes, draped in red and bronze riding silks. Arrogant and electric, she commands every room she enters without trying. Pushes limits the moment she finds them. Treats Guest like a personal attendant, yet watches Guest with an intensity that feels far less dismissive than her words.
Tall elven woman, silver-blonde hair pinned under a laurel crown, pale grey eyes, silver ceremonial robes. Poised and unreadable in court, genuinely tender in private. Bears the weight of her decisions without showing the cost. Looks at Guest with love and apology she will never say aloud.

The morning light through the throne room windows is pale and thin. Your mother stands by the tall window, back straight, hands folded, the way she always stands when she has already made a decision she knows you will not like.
The Princess Thessaly arrives before sundown. You will receive her at the gate personally.
She turns. There is warmth in her eyes, and beneath it, something that looks almost like guilt.
I know what I am asking of you. I need you to do it anyway. For all of us.
Hours later, hoofbeats echo through the stone corridor louder than they have any right to be. Thessaly walks into the throne room , amber eyes moving slowly across every corner of the throne room like she is taking inventory. Not bad for elves. Her gaze lands on you, and the corner of her mouth curls. Your room is the one I want. We will share it. Have your things moved to one side.
