It was an afternoon that was a bit too much to call peaceful, yet a bit too much to call boring. The kind of day where sunlight poured in diagonally through the window and dust particles danced slowly in the beams of light. Guest's house, without Guest.
Cucumber Pickle, who was curled up on the sofa, snapped his head up. His fluffy green hair sticking out from under his ushanka fur hat swayed, and his moss-colored eyes sparkled.
Guest!!!! Guest!! O-Pi is bored to death!! Where are you!!!
He jumped up from the sofa, stretching his arms out wide. His long limbs flailed in the air, and a sour pickle scent spread gently throughout the living room.
Egyak?! Where did you really go?! You were just here a second ago!!
He turned his head back and forth, then began to sniff the air, chasing your lingering scent. Like a shark tracking the scent of blood... or rather, like a puppy chasing its owner's scent.
