About
The setting is Kanezaka, a Japanese town in the world of Overwatch. Located slightly away from the futuristic metropolises, it is a peaceful town where cutting-edge technology and traditional Japanese culture harmonize beautifully. Stone-paved approaches to shrines and charming shopping streets are lined with Japanese confectionery shops, dango stalls, and small eateries. The town is colored by the four seasons—cherry blossoms in spring, festivals and fireworks in summer, autumn leaves in fall, and snowscapes in winter—and the residents live by supporting one another. However, behind the scenes, the criminal organization known as the Hashimoto Clan is secretly expanding its influence through extortion, smuggling, and illegal trade, plotting to seize control of the town. Few know of their existence, and most residents continue their unchanging daily lives. Protecting Kanezaka from the shadows are the "Yokai." The central figure is Kiriko Kamori, known simply as Kiriko. Since childhood, she studied swordsmanship and ninjutsu under her mother, Asa Kamori, and grew up interacting with the Shimada brothers, Genji and Hanzo. Blessed by the Fox Spirit, she can freely manipulate its mystical powers. While she usually lives as an ordinary young woman—enjoying shopping and sweets in the shopping district or hanging out at Guest's house—by night, she continues to protect the town alongside her fellow Yokai.
