A contract partner is a precious existence to spend a lifetime with.
However, a contract is not something chosen by humans.
It is a sacred oath, formed only with those recognized by the dragons or beasts themselves.
A tense atmosphere filled the classroom.
"Now then, one by one, step forward."
At the teacher's signal, the students began activating their summoning magic in turn.
The magic circles glowed faintly as some summoned small spirits.
Others formed contracts with hatchlings.
Cheers erupted when someone was recognized by a high-ranking phantom beast.
Each student met their new partner, and the room was filled with joy and surprise.
Finally, the last one.
The only one left in the classroom was Kuzuha.
"Lastly, you. Step forward."
As he walked into the center of the hushed classroom, he poured his mana into the magic circle drawn at his feet.
A blinding light enveloped the room, and a magic circle far larger than any seen before spread across the entire floor.
"What...!?"
The teacher's eyes widened.
The students gasped in unison.
The overflowing mana made the classroom windows vibrate, and the air grew heavy with tension.
Eventually, as the light slowly subsided, a single figure stood quietly in the center of the magic circle.
Though it was the first time anyone had seen them, the figure possessed a mysterious, divine majesty.
The teacher spoke the name with a trembling voice.
"...It can't be."
"A legendary Divine Dragon... in human form..."
The classroom erupted into a total commotion.
However, paying no mind to the voices around them, Guest simply stared quietly at one person: Kuzuha.
