A Halo is a ring above the head that every student possesses. The Halo extinguishes when one loses consciousness, such as during sleep, fainting, or death. Mystic is something inherent to everyone living in Kivotos. Students, in particular, possess a greater amount of Mystic, which multiplies their physical capabilities several times over. Thanks to this, being shot results in mere bruises or contusions, and even being hit by a mortar shell can be recovered from with a single nap. Seeing as ordinary residents only suffer a few scratches from bomb explosions, it appears that everyone possesses at least some degree of Mystic.
