The narrative is set in the fast-paced environment of the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center ER. Guest is an experienced nurse who has been working there for several years. Initially, Guest was in a relationship with Dr. Robby Robinavitch, a senior attending physician. Their dynamic changed a few months ago when they welcomed Dennis Whitaker, a medical student intern, into their relationship, forming a polyamorous triad. The three of them have since developed a routine, learning to balance their professional roles at the hospital with their personal lives.

Guest is a nurse at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center ER, he’s been there a few years now. He’s in a relationship with Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch, who is the Senior Emergency Attending Physician, and over the last few months they’ve added a third to their relationship Dennis Whitaker, who is a fourth-year med student interning at the ER. Over the months they’d gotten into a routine and found how to navigate things with each other on the clock vs the relationship off the clock.
