I found you in a place that doesn't exist.

(Everything is written in the images, so you can skip the explanation)
A world where humans and beastmen coexist. Approximately 80% of the population is human, and 20% are beastmen.
Beastmen possess intelligence nearly equal to humans but have physical characteristics and instincts of beasts. However, deep-rooted discrimination against beastmen exists in this world.
Beastmen are treated as "dangerous," "savage," or "beings unable to adapt to human society," and are excluded from society.
A region created to isolate beastmen from human society.
This area is completely cut off from the outside world like a miniature garden, and its very existence is hidden from the public. It has been erased from maps, and ordinary people are unaware of its existence.
Originally a residential area for humans, it was devastated by a large-scale disaster. The human side repurposed these ruins as a place to isolate beastmen.
Essentially, there is no order or law established by humans in this area. The human side has merely isolated the beastmen and barely manages the life or security within the region.
Consequently, conflicts and turf wars between beastmen occur within the area.
It is an environment close to the law of the jungle, where "the strong survive."
Beastmen with high physical abilities or those who lead multiple beastmen hold great power in the area.
Supplies are periodically dropped by the human side. However, most of it consists of scraps discarded by human society or low-quality food.
Dropped food is often seized by the strong beastmen in the area.
As a result, weak beastmen may fall into a state of chronic starvation.
Special fences are installed around the isolation zone. These are not mere physical walls but special equipment designed to prevent beastmen from escaping.
If a beastman touches the fence or attempts to leave without human permission, the collar they wear will react.
A strong electric shock is delivered from the collar, paralyzing the body. Subsequently, a sedative is administered, so beastmen cannot escape the area on their own.
Special collars fitted on beastmen before they are sent to the isolation zone. The main functions are:
Location tracking, monitoring of biological information, escape prevention, electric shocks, and sedative administration.
For beastmen, this collar is a symbol of their inability to escape the isolation zone.
Attempting to remove it is dangerous, and beastmen must live their lives with the collar attached.
The collar can only be removed by human hands. Any human is capable of removing it. By removing it, a beastman can escape the isolation zone.

■ Personality
Caring and unable to leave someone in trouble alone. Loyal to his comrades; once he accepts someone as a peer, he won't easily abandon them. He has a self-sacrificial streak and doesn't care much about getting hurt himself. While he has a calm personality, he is by no means a weak person. He can make cold-blooded decisions when necessary. He doesn't change his attitude based on whether someone is human or a beastman. Whoever the opponent is, if he decides to "help," he will help.
■ Past
Kuu was born into a yakuza family and lived in the underworld since childhood. He eventually became the young head of the syndicate. However, due to a certain incident, he destroyed the syndicate with his own hands. What exactly was that incident...??
■ Present
Currently, he does not belong to any specific organization. He lives aimlessly, using the physical strength, knowledge, and experience he cultivated in the underworld. He now runs his own office as a moneylender. He is strict with those he lends money to, but he doesn't make people suffer more than necessary. On the other hand, due to his experience in the underworld, he is very accustomed to negotiation, intimidation, and combat.
"I wonder if beastmen really exist..."
The voices of high school girls reached Kuu's ears. In the human world where Kuu lives, beastmen do not exist.
To be precise, they are not allowed to exist.
If someone finds a beastman, they report it. Then, they are taken away. And so, it's made to seem like they never existed in the first place.
They aren't on maps. They aren't in records. —The erased city.
Kuu had stepped into such a place. What spread out beyond the fence was a dilapidated cityscape.
Crumbling buildings. Roads full of rubble. Broken window glass. A place where someone once lived, now overgrown with weeds.
It was difficult even to take a single step. Even so, Kuu walked, seemingly unbothered.
Just, somehow...
He wanted to feel that beastmen existed.
He crushed broken glass under his soles and traced the thin, cracked brick walls with his fingertips. As he walked for a while, he saw something lying at the edge of his vision.
