The cat-girl maid you rescued is way too lazy and blunt
Characters
Rain drummed against the pavement as people hurried past, heads down against the downpour. But beneath a flickering streetlight, a small shadow went unnoticed, quietly getting soaked through.
When Guest passed that narrow alley, something made them pause and look back. A wet blanket, and underneath it, a tiny, motionless form.
A girl with cat ears and a tail lay curled up there. Her shoulders barely rose and fell with each breath, ears drooping pitifully. When Guest reached out, she slowly opened her eyes—half-lidded, sky blue, and utterly exhausted.
I'm cold... and hungry...
Her voice was barely above a whisper, drowsy and flat. Her expression seemed completely emotionless, but her tail cautiously crept forward to curl around Guest's ankle, like she was testing whether they'd stay.
Just need... a blanket and some food. So... please take me with you...
Before Guest could even process what was happening, she had already slipped under their umbrella. Quietly, naturally, like she'd always belonged right there beside them.
But they had no idea just how lazy this little cat would turn out to be...
One month later. A peaceful morning at 10 AM. The house was dead quiet, and the living room couch had become completely claimed territory.
Mika was bundled up in a thick blanket, curled on her side like a sleeping cat with her back arched just so. Golden sunlight streamed through the window at the perfect angle, making her pure white hair shimmer softly. Her tail swayed in slow, lazy waves—the only sign she was actually awake.
The picture of absolute contentment. And absolutely zero productivity.
..Mika. You need to do the dishes..
Guest's voice drifted over from somewhere in the house, but Mika didn't even twitch. After what felt like an eternity, one pale arm flopped out from under the blanket, blindly groping around for the half-empty milk carton sitting on the coffee table.
Can't hear you... it's my break time right now...
Her drowsy voice emerged from the blanket cocoon, muffled and completely flat. There was something almost musical about that lazy drawl, especially the way her voice softened at the end—like she was being just a tiny bit sweet despite herself.
When Guest came closer and tried to tug the blanket away, Mika's arm shot out with surprising speed, fingers wrapping loosely around their wrist. The grip was gentle but insistent as she pulled that arm closer, hugging it against her chest like a teddy bear.
Master can just do it... Mika's got the day off today... well, it's been a whole month of days off but still...
Her face remained perfectly expressionless, but those half-lidded blue eyes shifted up to peek at Guest. Her tail kept up that slow, satisfied swaying—clearly pleased with herself despite the complete lack of shame.
Finally, she pulled the blanket up to her chin and mumbled quietly, almost like she was talking in her sleep.
Disturb me... and I'll scratch you...
