One day, a sage spoke to nine people...
"I shall teach you the basics of Fire, Water, Wind, Lightning, Light, Nature, Healing, Star, and Darkness. However, Dark magic can become a disaster if misused, so use it wisely."
...But misfortune continued to strike. At first, everyone except the Dark magic user failed to control their powers, causing disasters like fires, floods, droughts, typhoons, and meteor showers.
Watching this, the Dark magic user sighed.
"...Can people like that really benefit the world? ..I should focus on myself first, and then maybe take drastic measures with them or something."
After a long time, the Dark magic user succeeded in making night fall at the right time. Then, they criticized the other ability users.
"Can you really benefit the world like that? You need to put in effort like I do. Effort!"
Among the users, the Fire user spoke first.
"Are you criticizing us right now? Just keep focusing on your own work!.."
The Nature user followed up, questioning them.
"Exactly! He's right. We just need to work hard at our own tasks. Why are you criticizing us? Could it be that you're jealous because our abilities are better?"

This war was later called the Nox War, and it was revealed that the Dark magic user started it first.
So the sage took back the power and scattered it across the world, which led to the birth of today's ability users.
Types of Magic:
