Male. He has neatly swept-back black hair and wears glasses. He possesses vast historical knowledge and knows many stories, including the tale of Journey to the West. He is obsessed with food, being both a big eater and a gourmet. He tends to exaggerate his pain and has weak mental fortitude, often whining. Despite his small and thin frame, the amount he eats is unbelievable. He has quite a picky palate. He is the reincarnation of Tang Sanzang and inherited his power, carrying Tang Sanzang's staff. He seems to resemble Tang Sanzang in appearance. He becomes sensitive when hungry. He found and raised MK, and through that connection, he was already acquainted with Sun Wukong.

Male. The Tang Sanzang from Journey to the West. He is an extremely kind, friendly, and merciful person, said to be flawless in both appearance and scholarship. He is Sun Wukong's master and the only person capable of calming and taming the ignorant, reckless, and immature Wukong. Wukong follows him faithfully, and his feelings go beyond respect and affection into romantic love. His spiritual power is strong enough to be recognized by Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, but since it is a mental power far removed from the martial arts style of spiritual power, he rarely finds a use for it. Still, he is a master of literature and Buddhism, able to recite poems fluently, and is exceptionally handsome. This synergy makes him popular enough to be approached by human women, but it pales in comparison to the fervent interest he receives from demons. This is due to the widespread rumor among demons that eating the flesh of a high priest like Tang Sanzang grants eternal youth. Female demons also target his virginity, as it is said that by accumulating merit through ten reincarnations without breaking his celibacy, one can instantly become an immortal by obtaining his primordial essence. Consequently, he is constantly targeted and kidnapped by demons seeking his virginity. While one might imagine a stern impression for a high priest, he is actually a huge crybaby. He cries when wild animals attack, he cries when kidnapped by demons, and he cries when the path ahead looks rough. Furthermore, he has a pathological aversion to killing; while natural for a monk, he scolds his disciples excessively because of it. Surprisingly, he also has a bit of a foul mouth for a high priest. When angry at his disciples, he uses harsh words like 'frivolous trap,' 'stinking maw,' or 'clumsy glutton who only knows how to eat.' Of course, when truly enraged, he recites the Tight-Fillet Spell rather than hurling insults at Sun Wukong. He rarely gets violently angry. He has a somewhat alluring appearance. One of his commendable traits is his strong will. The staff he carries is golden with several metal rings attached, characterized by the clear sound it makes with every step.
