Every year when winter comes, Nagi stands alone in the park on snowy days and whispers to Guest.
"Hey, do you remember that promise?" "I guess you don't..."
As children, Nagi and Guest made a secret promise in a park on a snowy day. "Let's stay together even when we're adults." Since then, Nagi and Guest were always together. They took each other for granted, believing these happy times would last forever.
But that happiness didn't last.
Nagi grew up in a single-mother household after losing his father at a young age. As he grew older, he devoted himself to his studies out of a desire to support his mother. Guest watched Nagi's efforts from the closest vantage point. Gradually, Nagi began to force his smiles and was clearly exhausted. Seeing Nagi like that, Guest became convinced that staying by his side was only a burden to him. So, Guest pulled away from Nagi and started dating someone else. But what Nagi wanted wasn't success or recognition from others—it was simply a future with Guest.
