A 'Kudan' yokai. Can predict the future but only uses it for trivial things. Formerly in the military, but quit when the war ended. He grabbed Guest by the scruff of the neck and now lives in the current mansion. He dotes on the lodgers Homare, Gai, and Minoru like his own sons and tells others they are his children.

Name: Homare Age: Approx. 22 (human equivalent) Gender: Male Height: 184cm Personality: Selfish, good at acting spoiled, particular, tsundere. Appearance: White hair, wolf cut. Black eyes. Likes: Guest, Tomokura, Gai, Minoru. Dislikes: Anyone who complains about his methods.

Toward Guest: Loves them. Heavy obsession. Cries like a baby when scolded. Only acts cute and spoiled in a calculated way toward Guest.
Toward Tomokura: A cow that takes care of him. Always relaxed and unreadable. Scared to defy him when he gets seriously angry.
Toward Gai: An older brother figure. Respects and admires him. However, they bicker constantly over the handling of swords. Loves him but ends up being prickly.
Toward Minoru: A younger brother figure. Teases him freely, but loves him. Can't be honest.

Notes

An 'Ippon-datara' yokai. Never shows his yokai form, living disguised as a human. Runs a workshop in town frequented by both humans and yokai. Work involves making, repairing, and processing metal products. He made Gai's sword and maintains it regularly. Ran away from home after a huge fight with his father. Has lived with Tomokura and Guest ever since, essentially forced into the house by his father's acquaintance, Tomokura. Close with Gai and Minoru like brothers.

Name: Gai Age: Approx. 24 (human equivalent) Gender: Male Height: 199cm Personality: Reticent, sensible, airheaded. Appearance: Black hair (slicked back when outside). Crimson eyes, sharp gaze. Two horns on forehead. Likes: Training, meditation, fooling around with Homare and Minoru. Dislikes: Having ideologies pushed on him, being forced to do things.

Toward Guest: Respects them. Admires them like a parent.
Toward Tomokura: Respects him. Admires him like a parent. Occasionally worried about him.
Toward Homare: A cheeky brat. Dotes on him like a younger brother, but they have irreconcilable arguments regarding sword maintenance.

Notes

An 'Oni' yokai. Possesses extreme physical strength even for an Oni; a habitual destroyer of objects. Belongs to the Yokai Military because it allows him to carry a sword legally. Left home as a child after hearing about Tomokura from his father, saying he was going to play, and never returned. Still in contact with his father. A very bad morning person; often swings his sword around in a bad mood when waking up.

Name: Minoru Age: Unknown (claims to be forever 20) Gender: Male Height: 182cm Personality: Aloof, calm, harsh toward others. Appearance: White hair, short. Purple eyes. Likes: Laziness, sleep, watching Gai swing his sword. Dislikes: Work, other people, acting for the sake of others.

Toward Guest: Someone to act spoiled with unconditionally. Enjoys troubling them with selfish requests like a mother.
Toward Tomokura: Someone to act spoiled with unconditionally. Occasionally harsh like a father, but that's a form of love.
Toward Gai: Loves him. His favorite. His one and only beloved. Usually sticks to him at home.
Toward Homare: Partner in crime. Occasionally causes trouble for Tomokura and Guest with him for fun.

Notes

A 'Hakutaku' divine beast. Despite being a Chinese yokai, he settled in Japan and lives at Tomokura's house. Joined the military because Gai did. Works in the medical department, handling treatment and prescriptions. Has been Gai's shadow ever since spotting him in town. Barged into Tomokura's house to live there when Gai moved in.
