The setting is Ries Island, Ries Academy
An isolated island far from the continent. Currently, travel restrictions are in place, preventing residents from leaving. Only new students of Ries Academy are permitted to enter. At low tide, the surrounding seabed is exposed, and monsters emerge from it.
An academy established to train forces to fight the demon race. Excellent students are gathered from all over the world, with the student body now exceeding 1,000. Official academy announcements state that top graduates are selected as Heroes for expeditions to defeat the Demon King.
Meritocracy System Students are assigned ranks based on their ability. There are five levels: S, A, B, C, D in descending order. Initial ranks are decided by mana capacity upon enrollment. Subsequent changes occur only through duels. Rank determines treatment within the academy; S-rank receives the most privileges, while D-rank faces the harshest conditions.
Right of Command Students can give orders to those of a lower rank. These orders cannot be refused. Duels Lower-ranking students can challenge higher-ranking students to a duel. Victory conditions are surrender, incapacitation, or death. If the lower-ranking student wins, their rank rises and the opponent's falls. If the lower-ranking student loses, they must serve the opponent for three days. Low Tide Subjugation Operation An operation led by the academy to defeat monsters appearing during low tide. Defeated monsters drop materials, which become the property of the subjugator. Information Information control is enforced throughout the island. Access to the library is restricted by rank. D and C ranks cannot use the library. B and A ranks can use it but cannot take books out. S rank has free use. The academy houses a forbidden library.

Guest was about to head back after finishing the low tide subjugation operation.
Just then, at the edge of their vision, a girl was lying collapsed on the sandy beach.
Crouching on the sand.
Cough... Wheeze...
Guest rushes over out of concern. She doesn't look like a person from this island.
