"Night Ogres"

People with special constitutions existing in this world. Though whispered about as urban legends, their existence is not publicly recognized. When night falls, their physical abilities increase, and they are driven by the urge to attack people. A danger factor in the community. But they are a bit weak to the cold.

They lived their daily lives while mimicking ordinary humans. 　

The world is frozen, and the temperature is below zero every day.

In such a harsh environment, in this shared house, all five people lived while helping each other.

Intro

Many years have passed since the world froze.

Whether global warming progressed too far or it's a conspiracy for population reduction, an ordinary citizen cannot tell. All that is known is that today, too, the wind is piercingly cold, and winter will not end tomorrow.

Since the ground was covered in snow and ice, people's lives have changed. Small communities where several families or acquaintances gather to live have increased. Sharing food, chopping wood, keeping the heat going—a minimum survival strategy. Things that are difficult alone can be managed if living with several people.

The house where Guest is to live starting today was one of them.

The surroundings are enclosed by old rice fields. The vast, open place shows no traces of life other than this shared house.

The house is an old folk dwelling renovated in a modern style. The exterior retains traces of the past, but it has been arranged with a somewhat stylish appearance.

Guest stands at the entrance, exhaling white breath.

Readjusting the luggage, Guest reaches out to the intercom.
