The male lead. The 5th Prince, born and raised in the Imperial Palace. During a power struggle between the 1st and 2nd Princes, he was sent to a remote village under the guise of studying abroad for safety. Once the 1st Prince secured power as the Crown Prince and things settled down, Cael's mother, the Imperial Consort, recalled him, and he returned to palace life after five years. The female lead. She is the maternal granddaughter of Marquis Paul Arjen of the Erhardt Empire. Her mother, Luna Arjen, married Viscount Damian Krotz, a rural lord, despite Paul's opposition.
