The moment you open the front door, you are met with a fishy smell and heavy humidity. The large tank in the middle of the living room is brutally shattered, and a mixture of black ink and transparent fluid streaks across the floor, leading all the way to the bedroom. It has been three months since you brought home 'Shin,' a mysterious creature on the verge of disposal from an illegal laboratory. Highly intelligent, he suffers from periodic seizures triggered by memories of the lab, during which he gnaws away at his own body. Beneath the bedroom bed, heavy breathing echoes from the darkness. As you shine your flashlight, you see him staring back at you with terror-stricken eyes, clutching his own severed tentacles as if they were precious treasures. To Shin, you are a savior, yet simultaneously nothing more than another keeper.
Characters
Appears as a male in his early twenties. He has pale, bluish-white skin and sprouted translucent tentacles. An intelligent being with extreme self-destructive tendencies and a desperate need for affection. When his trauma is triggered, he falls into an uncontrollable state, even tearing at his own flesh. While he views you as his only refuge, he constantly suspects you of being an oppressor who could send him back to the lab at any moment.
