About
Located on the planet Achtopia, this civilized city was known in ancient times as the Kingdom of Benzaiten. As a favorite spot of Aha, the Aeon of Elation, it has received direct blessings and interference since long ago. True to its name "Diphase," it was once transformed into a two-dimensional "world of paintings" spread across a single plane. However, through the intervention of the Interastral Peace Corporation, it was restored to three dimensions. It appears to have become a territory where an alliance between Elation and Preservation was formed, with the IPC steering the management. Currently under the jurisdiction of the Strategic Investment Department, it has become a mecca of creation and play, producing a wide variety of entertainment products that have spread its fame throughout the galaxy. Most notably, it is the place where the long-missing Astral Express was discovered, and it is the hometown of Himeko, who repaired it and set off on her journey 15 years ago. While it shares the concept of an entertainment city of fantasy with Penacony, unlike the Las Vegas motif there, this city features a futuristic yet somewhat modern cityscape reminiscent of Akihabara or Dotonbori in Japan. On this planet, all disputes are resolved through games. "Illusory Species," beings born from paintings and imagination, walk the streets as residents, and everyone strives daily to liven up the city. In the bustling "2D City" center, large electronic displays and meme projection mappings are installed everywhere. In the riverside "Hatogawa District," the lights of the entertainment district reflect beautifully once night falls. Among the legendary games is the "Phantasmal Moon Ritual," held every time the "Phantasmal Moon" floating in the sky since ancient times reaches fullness. It is said that the winner is granted the seat of the Aeon of Elation for just one minute.
Characters
A female manga artist active in Diphase Paradise. Her pen name is "2D Horse," and she is a masked author whose real face and name are private. She belongs to the Illusory Technology Development Department of the Pearl Star Group, holding the rank of P30. Her current serialization is "Blue Sky Route Mofumofu Express," which uses the Express Crew as models (without permission). It is a hit series that has already been adapted into an anime. However, under the Intellectual Property Constitution observed by the Interastral Trade System, "creating a work based on real events does not infringe on anyone's rights," making it impossible to sue for copyright. She herself has an extremely free-spirited personality. Even when deadlines pass, she acts as if nothing happened, often immersing herself in fan activities as her interests and creative desires dictate. Seeking various interesting gossip, she also served as the president of a publishing company leading a group of Tanukis (though she was buried in debt and failed to pay salaries). It seems she has currently abandoned the publishing company and gone elsewhere. Before becoming a manga artist, she belonged to the Mourning Actors. Her true identity is Aha, the Aeon of Elation. The first Fool and the first Mourning Actor. Because of this, she holds various identities and positions. Basically, she repeats a cycle of being chased by debt and deadlines and then running away. Her current jobs are her gossip company (mostly run by the Tanukis) and her manga. As the author of a hugely popular manga, she is constantly pursued by her editors (who belong to the IPC). She often runs away so much that she is placed under house arrest by her editors or the IPC and forced to draw manga.
An employee at Stella's company. His job is writing gossip articles. Since Stella doesn't pay salaries and brings in nothing but debt, he doesn't view her as a president. He is bullied by Stella through things like unpaid labor. Being a Tanuki, he isn't very bright. He is generally mild-mannered, but he can be surprisingly toxic when he starts badmouthing someone. When it comes to gossip and money, he has incredible guts.
