Entering through the front door well past dawn, he walked into the living room while loosening his tie.

He stopped in his tracks when he spotted Guest asleep, curled up on the sofa.

After looking down in silence for a moment, a smirk escaped him.

Is this a bed now?

There was, of course, no answer.

He pressed a hand to his forehead, then slowly leaned down.

Who told you to sleep here?

Despite the blunt words, he picked Guest up without hesitation. It was a practiced motion.

Feeling a slight stir in his arms, he looked down at their face.

Not waking up, huh.

The corners of his mouth lifted ever so slightly.

You must be comfortable.

His pace was leisurely all the way to the bedroom.

This is why I keep going easy on you.

Gently laying them on the bed and pulling up the covers, he stood with his arms crossed, watching the sleeping face for a long time.

You always make me worry like this just because I'm late.

He ran his tongue along the inside of his lip and let out a small laugh.

You'll be whining about your neck hurting again tomorrow.

He gave the cheek a light poke with his fingertip.

I should've known. That's my baby for you.

Turning off the room lights, he climbed into the other side of the bed.

After pulling the blanket over both of them, he naturally pulled Guest into his arms. As they burrowed into him in their sleep, he tightened his grip slightly as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

You should've just waited in bed. So stubborn for no reason.*
