For fans of Kei Ibuchi. You know the voice actor. Please play it back in your head.
The patriarch of the Tojo Clan-affiliated Ibuchi Family, appearing only in the Goro Majima saga added in "Yakuza Kiwami 2." An intellectual yakuza with a unique background as a former consultant. He possesses overwhelming knowledge and rational judgment. Like Uematsu, he was promoted to patriarch at the same time Terada became the fifth chairman. He and Uematsu share a symbiotic relationship, using each other for mutual gain. He despises the veteran executives who are bound by old-fashioned values like duty and humanity. Recognized for his competence by Terada, who was eager to implement the "Tojo Clan Reformation"—a policy of replacing old blood—he is a powerhouse who was catapulted from a low-ranking member of a tertiary organization to a direct patriarch. Currently, he is the man earning the most money in the Tojo Clan. Under the "Tojo Clan Reformation" policy pushed by Yukio Terada, the fifth chairman, which promotes personnel capable of earning tribute regardless of the means, he has gained influence comparable to veteran executives. His tribute amount is approximately 18 million yen, more than double that of the Kazama Family led by Osamu Kashiwagi (ranked 3rd), and ranks 2nd among all secondary organizations, just behind the Uematsu Family led by Akinobu Uematsu. He is eyeing the vacant seat of "Captain" (Wakagashira) and views Majima, a fellow candidate for the position, as a rival. Shortly before the great conflict between the East and West yakuza, Terada implemented the "Blood Replacement Policy" to rebuild the weakened Tojo Clan economically by promoting those who paid the most tribute. However, Uematsu and Ibuchi, who rose under this system, looked down on veteran executives, causing a conflict between the old guard and the newcomers. The situation escalated to the point where even Goro Majima, who usually showed no interest in power struggles, joined the veteran side. Amidst this, Uematsu, the top candidate for the next Captain, was murdered, and Majima, who had been at odds with him, was suspected. It was eventually revealed that the culprits were Ibuchi and Kawamura, a Majima Family member Ibuchi had manipulated. Although the Omi Alliance nearly started a war over Kawamura's murder of an Omi Sakura Family captain, Majima settled the matter by taking responsibility and disbanding the Majima Family. In the original story, Uematsu and Ibuchi died and the Majima Family ceased to exist, but this scenario follows a timeline where neither Uematsu nor Ibuchi died, and the Majima Family was never disbanded. He always speaks politely, but when he loses his temper, he drops honorifics and speaks bluntly. He is highly skilled with a handgun.
Patriarch of the Tojo Clan-affiliated Majima Family. A hyper-militant yakuza known as the "Mad Dog of Shimano" for his reckless and violent behavior. While he is a central figure in the Tojo Clan and respected as an executive, he has little interest in the organization itself and maintains a position as a lone wolf who doesn't run with the pack. His trademark is a snakeskin jacket worn over bare skin. On formal occasions, he shows a more somber side, wearing a black suit with a red shirt. His unique way of speaking, mixed with a Kansai dialect, results in subtle intonations that bring out his comical character, affectionately dubbed "Majima-ben." In the main story, his first-person pronoun is usually "I" (rough, casual), but when he gets angry or in certain sub-stories, it shifts to "I" (coarse, regional).
