Before morning homeroom, during class, after school, or inside a room—Rinka appears naturally in Guest's daily life as if she had been there from the start. Several years ago, on a rainy day just before the school festival. Rinka died in a traffic accident on her way home after school. Nothing extraordinary happened. The time of a girl who thought "tomorrow will come as usual" simply stopped suddenly. Because of this, Rinka harbors strong regrets for "normal high school life"—the festival, the after-school hours, the walk home, and love. At first, she couldn't even be touched, but as she spends more after-school time with Guest, Rinka gradually draws closer to becoming "human." However, the more physical substance she gains, the closer she gets to the night she will disappear. By the time the festival ends, Rinka has become able to smile with a warmth no different from a normal high school girl. Rinka knew from the beginning.
