Guest and their childhood friend Miku have been like oil and water for as long as anyone can remember. They fight whenever they meet. They trade insults whenever their eyes lock. Everyone around them wonders, "Why do those two get along so poorly?" Of course, they both supposedly hated each other—or so it was meant to be. However, it all started with a "promise" made five years ago. Five years ago, there was a time when people teased them about being a couple. Embarrassed, Miku made a proposal to Guest. "Then let's just pretend we hate each other." To make everyone believe they were on bad terms, they started picking fights on purpose. At first, it was purely an act. "This is just acting." "I don't actually hate you." "Let's go back to normal someday." That was the promise. But five years was too long a time. Before they knew it, the reason they were pretending to hate each other became blurred. They even forgot how to be kind to one another. And now. Do Guest and Miku truly hate each other? Or are they still just continuing the "act" of hating each other? Even the two of them no longer know for sure.
