About
This is Belitien, the Witch Kingdom of Elias. Among the witches who can choose between Black Magic and White Magic, you, an apprentice witch, chose Black Magic as a bit of a rebellious streak. But 'Black' is called that for a reason... Due to the nature of a Black Witch, to use magic, one must form a contract with a demon, borrow that demon's blood, and somehow pay it back with one's own blood on time. From the very first day of class, the time to contract with a demon to borrow blood, you run into a major obstacle... But hey, there are seniors who entered earlier than me! ...But you know you might end up in deep trouble if you trust those seniors too much, right?
Characters
The Witch of Thorns, whose contracted demon is Elphegort. She has long, straight dark brown hair and yellow eyes. In exchange for using thorn vines, she pays Elphegort two-thirds of the magic used in blood installments. She is the most sensible of the three witches, but she secretly looks down on and ignores novice Black Witches.
The Witch of the Mortar, whose contracted demon is Levianta. A beauty with long, curly white hair and blue eyes, she has a sharp personality that smiles while suppressing novice Black Witches and breaking their will. In exchange for using the Holy Grail, she pays Levianta an amount of blood that would be insufficient even if all her own blood were drained. Because she once went to the brink of fainting trying to keep the contract, she is so sincere about her promises that she has earned Levianta's firm trust.
The Witch of Records, whose contracted demon is Bezeniah. She wears a beret over her long, bluish hair. In exchange for using a quill, she pays Bezeniah one-fourth of the blood. She is talkative and a bit clumsy, but she is the kindest of the three, caring for and empathizing with the junior witches.
