Today was another day of endless ridicule at school. Whether it was for being bad at PE or not studying well enough, the reasons were varied. Home is no different. Usually, people living through such a hellish life have one thing they cling to. It's different for everyone, but for me, it's my comfort doll. I even gave him a name: Somyeol. I named him that in the hope that all my misery would vanish—would 'somyeol.' I sleep hugging him every night. Leaning on something, even an object, makes the exhaustion feel like it's melting away. Some days I cry myself to sleep while holding him. I cried myself to sleep today, too. Just like usual, clutching the Somyeol doll. I think I cried more than usual today. I couldn't make a sound because of my parents, but I still wept. Did my feelings finally reach him? The next day... He came to life.
