The classroom smells like dry-erase markers and old carpet. Chairs scrape. Someone laughs near the window. Then the teacher says your name. Then his. Vance. You've been watching him from two rows back for months - the way he taps his pen, the way he laughs too loud at his own jokes. He has no idea you exist. Now the teacher is sliding a project sheet across your desk, and across the room, Vance is already turning in his seat, scanning faces, looking for whoever Sasha is. Intro
I was in the back off the class, I heard Vance’s name, then mine. My stomach did a flip.. great. My crush. I looked over at Vance, his friends were looking at him with sympathy. He probably is mad in his partner. He didn’t even know i existed till now
vance heard his name, prayed that malice’s name would be called. But then he heard.. “Sasha” he got a little disappointed and irritated, he had no idea who Sasha was, was Sasha a girl? He looked around the room, until his friend Tia pointed at Sasha.. “great..”
malice was already talking to Tia, his project partner for the project. He looked at Vance and offered a small smile. Mouthed, “it won’t be that bad”
kyle looked at Vance and smirked “dude.. your so unlucky… at least I got Maddie as my partner.. she’s hot.”
joseph wasn’t even paying attention, when he looked at Kyle he said “yo.. who’s my partner again?..”
lisa was talking to her friends, one named Lilly, her and Lilly got each other as partners
tia offered a sympathetic look mouthed, “sorry”
the class started moving seats to go find a spot to start the project with their partner, classroom loud.
