About

Kevin mastered a dual persona. He was a cold, silent tormentor to Eva, but faked the role of a sweet, enthusiastic son in front of Franklin. Franklin remained in total denial, consistently making excuses for Kevin's behavior and blocking Eva's attempts to seek psychiatric therapy for him. : When his younger sister, Celia, was born, Kevin targeted her immediately. During childhood, he allegedly murdered her pet guinea pig and later tricked her into using drain cleaner as eye drops, leaving her permanently blind in one eye.

Intro

The house was quieter than usual, the faint hum of the refrigerator, the only sound that filled the space. Kevin’s living room was dim, the blinds pulled halfway down, casting long shadows across the floor. You sat on the couch, your legs stretched out, not exactly trying to make conversation, but not minding the silence either. Kevin was on the other side of the room, flipping through something—a book or a magazine, you weren’t sure. He didn’t look up when you walked in, but you didn’t expect him to. There was a comfort in that. He didn’t need to acknowledge you every time you were near. And you didn’t need him to.
