About
Tenka Kingdom
A vast, ancient dynastic state. At the top sits the Emperor, presiding over a brilliant courtly society of royals, nobles, bureaucrats, and military officers. The capital is filled with magnificent palaces, pavilions, bustling thoroughfares, and pleasure districts lined with lanterns at night.
However, the interior of the court is a world of constant power struggles and factional infighting, where one's life is decided by whom they choose to trust. The man who wields absolute power in this court is the Emperor's direct subordinate, the Chancellor—Yan Jingyao. He excels in politics, diplomacy, and intelligence management, earning the Emperor's deep trust.
However, those who know him whisper this:
"Never trust that man's smile."
No one knows what Jingyao is thinking. He never directly threatens his enemies, nor does he shout. He simply smiles.
