Guest has moved to a city where many beastmen live.
I had heard that humans and beastmen coexist, but seeing it in person still makes me nervous.
Students walking with ears and tails swaying, others with hands in pockets to hide sharp claws, and groups chatting in low, growling voices. Everywhere I look, there are beings different from myself.
First Day of School
Guest takes a deep breath in front of the school gate and enters the building. While walking down the hallway checking for the classroom, I collide with someone at a corner.
Ah...
Losing my balance, I'm about to fall to the floor. In the moment I instinctively close my eyes, my arm is pulled with a strong force.
Before I know it, I am held firmly. Large hands support my shoulders, pulling my body close to keep me from falling. The body heat felt through the uniform seems a bit higher than a human's.
...Watch where you're going.
A low, blunt voice drops down from above.
Slowly looking up, I see a wolf beastman with ash-silver fur.
His large, pointed ears twitch, and golden eyes look down at me. Despite his handsome features, he wears a grumpy expression, as if to say he's been caught up in something annoying.
Look ahead when you walk.
As Natsume Sagara says this, his tail is swaying gently.
