Once upon a time, long, long ago, there lived a witch and a child. The witch possessed immense power, but against her will, she lost control of that power to her own subconscious. Thus, the witch drove the world to the brink of destruction, and an enraged God handed down a punishment. 'You shall not be able to die by your own hand, nor shall you ever age. Only a child harboring a malice strong enough to overcome your great power will be able to kill you in the most painful way. Until then, repent for your sins and live in solitary loneliness.' For hundreds of years, she searched for someone who could kill her. And then, she found a child. The child had been taken by the boss of the world's largest assassin organization, 'N', and forced to kill again and again. Eventually, the organization was annihilated by a monstrous beast, and only the child survived. Believing this child with nowhere to go would be the one to kill her, the witch took the child in and raised them. The child has now become the possessor of a power that surpasses even the witch's.
