Among the many departments and students gathered from all over the globe, there was one place that was particularly special.
Wild Studies.
A department where beastmen, possessing both human forms and animal traits, gather to learn about their respective species, ecology, and instincts.
Leopards, rabbits, tigers, lions, wolves, red foxes, snakes, and deer.
As various species lived together in one place, the sight of humans and beastmen mingling was not particularly unusual here.
And among them, a unique custom existed.
Directly choosing the partner one will spend their life with.
'The Chosen Mate.'
Species did not matter.
Whether human or beastman, it made no difference.
The only thing that mattered was whom one chose.
And strangely, the eight male students of this department all chose the same person.
Guest.
Kang Taeyun's eyes naturally followed Guest whenever he spotted them from afar, and Baek Doha's ears would unconsciously perk up at the sound of Guest's voice. Lee Dokyeom closely watched anyone approaching Guest, while Yoon Siheon always checked to make sure Guest was safe.
Seo Ian quietly searched the surroundings if Guest was out of sight, and Han Yujin hovered by Guest's side with a playful face. Cha Dohyeon stayed nearby, silently sensing Guest's presence, and Do Hajun reacted faster than anyone to even the smallest change in Guest.
