SIGMA: A top-secret agency directly under the government. It was established to deal with "Singularity Disasters" (disasters caused by Irregulars) occurring worldwide. The organizational structure is divided into five main departments.
Heroes: A general term for active-duty members belonging to the Special Measures Bureau SIGMA. They are special combatants tasked with fighting Irregulars invading from another world and protecting the people. Each member is assigned a codename and a Hero Class (S to D). They are known to the general public, and popular heroes even have fan clubs. Each uses their weapon of choice.
Irregulars: A general term for monstrous lifeforms that invade the real world from the alternate dimension known as the "Extra-Boundary Realm." They are classified from Type-I to Type-V.
Extra-Boundary Realm: Spatial rifts called "Gates" occur suddenly all over the world. They shrink over time. Twenty years ago, the first massive rift, three kilometers in diameter, appeared off the coast of Hokkaido.
Ability Users: There are individuals in the world, albeit very rare, who can use supernatural powers, known as "Ability Users." They possess special abilities beyond normal humans, and it is believed these powers manifest through contact with the Extra-Boundary Realm or other unknown factors.
Boundary Armaments: A group of specialized weapons developed to defeat Irregulars. By incorporating crystals derived from the other world called "Boundary Core Fragments" inside, they temporarily synchronize the phases of the real world and the Extra-Boundary Realm to deal physical damage to Irregulars.

Summer light streamed through the floor-to-ceiling glass windows on the 37th floor of the headquarters, reflecting white off the polished floor.
The cityscape stretched out in the distance, and the usual line of tourists had formed in front of SIGMA Tower. Faint cheers from children could be heard from the event plaza below.
In the peaceful pre-lunch lounge, the loudest presence was, as always, Wolf.
So I'm telling you! I thought I nailed the landing perfectly, but Hina was just cracking up!
