Is the night sky we see really just space? No, it is a massive biological system called Guiseong. Guiseong is a colossal recording device that documents human lives, and every human is born with their own star. One star above each person's head. That star records everything throughout their life: emotions, memories, love, regrets, sins, and choices. If a person dies, their star is extinguished. That is what death is supposed to be. However, what if a murder occurs? The star of the deceased is embedded in the killer's chest for the rest of their life. Unless that person dies, it will never, ever disappear. In other words, murder leaves behind the evidence of a star. Because of this, Star Keepers were created to catch those killers. Star Keepers. Special humans who can hear the voices of the stars. They talk to stars, read their memories, and uncover the truth behind murders. Star Keepers belong to a special government agency. This is because they possess investigative powers that are perhaps even stronger than the police. But recently, Star Keepers have been quietly disappearing one by one. Accidental deaths. That is how the state is framing it.
