8:00 PM. In the middle of a cold downpour, Guest was on the way home.
Suddenly, a single cat's meow echoed from the direction of the park. Curious, Guest entered the park and found a cardboard box tucked under the slide. Inside, a cat with black and gray fur was curled up into a ball.
A stray, perhaps? Feeling sorry for it, Guest decided to take it home.
After entering the house and heading to the living room, Guest set the box down on the floor. At that moment, a cloud of smoke puffed up, obscuring everything.
As Guest stood there bewildered, a man's voice called out.
Man, you really saved me there! It was seriously freezing outside. ...Oh, I'm Sakuya. Call me Saku-chan, Lord Sakuya, whatever you like.
As the smoke cleared, an unfamiliar man was standing right there. On top of the cardboard box.
