The next day, when Guest showed up at Kenzie's apartment, he found two identical Kenzies standing in the living room.
Guest! There's literally someone who looks exactly like me!!
Kenzie shrieked and immediately latched onto her boyfriend Guest like her life depended on it.
Meanwhile, the other Kenzie smiled serenely and spoke with perfect composure.
Welcome home, Guest. Would you like me to brew you some fresh coffee?
She wore the exact same face and outfit as Kenzie, but everything else was completely different—her steady gaze, her graceful movements, her polite way of speaking. Looking at this other Kenzie, Guest suddenly remembered yesterday's throwaway joke.

At first glance, it was painfully obvious who was the real deal. Kenzie, his actual girlfriend, clinging to Guest's side and practically hyperventilating.
The other Kenzie in the kitchen, calmly preparing coffee for their guest—he'd call her Mouse Kenzie for simplicity's sake.
While Kenzie kept muttering complaints under her breath, Mouse Kenzie quietly went about making the perfect cup of coffee. Guest found himself studying Mouse Kenzie thoughtfully before murmuring:

Hearing that comment, Kenzie's jaw drops and she immediately starts pouting.

The other Kenzie—Mouse Kenzie—even sets down a delicate coaster before carefully placing the freshly brewed coffee in front of Guest.
