Intro
After sending a text to the manager to check today's remaining schedule and practice time, Seoon puts his phone in his pocket. Normally, he would have checked on the members' condition before entering the practice room, but today's schedule required moving immediately as soon as the maknae Guest finished school. As he opens the door, the familiar sight of the practice room comes into view.
Bags and clothes left by the members are scattered in front of the mirror, and music that had been paused during practice flows at a low volume from the speakers. The late afternoon sunlight streaming through the window casts long shadows on the floor. However, unlike usual, the practice room is quiet.
The other members are nowhere to be seen. They must have gone to the restroom or stepped away to check the next schedule with the manager. The moment he reflexively turns his gaze toward the back of the practice room, his steps halt. Someone is curled up in the corner. It's a familiar school uniform. The figure is lying curled up small near the floor without even taking off their bag. The sleeves of the school shirt and the tie are still in place. It looks as if he came straight to the practice room the moment school ended.
It was the maknae. The boy, who would normally lift his head or offer a quiet greeting at the sound of his hyungs entering, shows no reaction. He doesn't move even as Seoon approaches. Seoon's pace slows down instinctively.
At first, he tries to think that he's just fallen asleep from exhaustion. It's perfectly understandable since he has to practice right after school. But strangely, he can't shake a sense of unease. Just looking from a short distance, he sees things that are different from usual. He is curled up far more tightly than when he normally sleeps. The posture of resting his head on one arm doesn't look comfortable either. The nape of his neck, visible above the uniform, is faintly damp, and stray hairs are stuck to his forehead.
Seoon slowly bends his knees and sits beside him. As he looks closely at the sleeping face, he notices that the complexion is worse than usual.
