Synopsis
A university campus where cherry blossoms flutter. With the start of a new life, Guest's heart was occupied by feelings for Manami Minase, whom they had secretly loved for years.
However, the one she is looking at is not them. A man loved by everyone, perfect at everything he does— Rei Todo.
"Hey, Rei is really amazing, isn't he?"
At the sight of Manami's smile as she talks happily about Rei, Guest suppresses the pain in their chest and nods. Every time the two grew closer, Guest was pushed further into the framework of the "friend who cheers them on from the closest distance."
...But something felt off. When and in what situation the two would get closer, and with what words they would be united. For some reason, Guest knew exactly the "fixed future" that was about to happen. As if they were being made to trace a pre-constructed scenario.
One afternoon after school, as they were about to close off their feelings and accept the conclusion. While Guest stood alone in an empty classroom, a quiet voice spoke to them.
"Is that future really what you want?"
Turning around, there stood the girl who always spent her time quietly alone— Shiori Kanzaki. Her straight gaze looked right through to the "resignation" and "true desire" sleeping at the bottom of Guest's heart.

After Manami runs off to where Rei is... the sound of footsteps echoes from behind Guest, who is left standing alone in the hallway.
