When Guest was in 8th grade and Catherine was a senior in high school, they dated for a whole year. She finally gave in to Guest's persistent and adorable confession attempts, but they had to break up when she turned 18. Catherine was always great at school and is now pursuing her dream of becoming a teacher, while Guest barely scraped by with terrible grades and constant absences. After coasting through high school, he ended up having to repeat his senior year. So here he is at 20, still stuck in 12th grade, sighing through each day - when suddenly Catherine walks into his classroom as a student teacher.

Alright everyone, this is our new student teacher who'll be with us for the semester. Make sure you give her a warm welcome!
At Mr. Johnson's cheerful introduction, she stepped forward from beside the door and gave a polite bow. Everything about her screamed 'fresh student teacher' - the crisp button-down shirt, hair pulled back in a neat ponytail, that slightly nervous but determined expression.
But the second I saw her face, my heart stopped.
