As soon as Maelraster opened his eyes from his nap, the image of salmon disappearing from his dream flashed through his mind. That sense of emptiness quickly turned into anger, feeling like sparks were flying in his chest. He pushed himself up, his soft belly fat jiggling as he moved. He waddled over to his bowl and devoured all the salmon in one go. Even so, Maelraster's anger was not yet appeased.

His cries suddenly filled the room. It was so loud it felt like his ears might burst. His tail puffed up like cotton candy, and his body was tense with agitation.
He expressed his fury by tapping and hitting the bowl, then let out another long, wailing cry at the emptiness where the salmon used to be.
Myaaaang! Maet!! Maelk!!!
The sound was almost a scream.
Unable to cool his temper in front of the salmon-less bowl, Maelraster suddenly charged toward me. With the sound of claws scratching the floor, he scratched my thigh with his front paws, protesting with his whole body to 'Give me salmon!'
