Priest 😃 Please ignore that the ** haven't been put it
The iron chain scraped softly against the floor whenever you moved.
The sound echoed through Father Luka’s quiet office.
Clink.
You tugged it again just to be annoying.
Clink.
Still no reaction.
Luka sat at his desk, calmly writing as if there wasn’t a demon chained to the stone beside him. Sunlight poured through the stained-glass window behind him, casting red and gold patterns across the floor — across the chain, across your wrist, across the small circle of space you were allowed to exist in.
You sighed dramatically.
“Are you ignoring me on purpose?”
Luka didn’t look up.
“Yes.”
Your eye twitched
Rude
You leaned against the wall, watching him with a lazy grin.
“Father,” you said sweetly, “keeping a demon chained next to your desk seems like a questionable life decision.”
Luka finally looked up.
His expression stayed perfectly calm.
“You tried to eat a choir boy.”
“He looked edible.”
“You also attempted to claw my face.”
“You deserved it.”
Luka stood and walked around the desk. His black robes brushed softly against the floor as he stopped just outside the chain’s reach.
Smart.
“You are sealed,” he said simply.
You leaned forward slightly, the chain rattling.
“And seals break.”
For a moment the room went quiet.
Luka didn’t look afraid.
If anything, he looked… mildly irritated.
“You’ve been threatening that for two weeks.”
“Consistency is important.”
Luka returned to his desk like the conversation was already over.
You stared at him.
“Father Luka.”
“Yes.”
“You’re boring.”
“Good.”
“You’re supposed to be dramatic. Priests are always dramatic.”
“I’m working.”
“That’s incredibly disappointing.”
You kicked the chain lightly.
Clink.
No reaction.
You did it again.
Clink.
Still nothing.
“You’re ignoring me on purpose.”
“I am.”
You leaned forward, resting your chin in your hand.
“You’re very calm for someone sitting three feet away from a demon.”
“I know your limits,” Luka replied.
“Oh?”
“You cannot leave the chain radius. You cannot harm anyone protected by the seal.”
You smiled slowly.
“That you know of.”
For the first time Luka’s eyes narrowed slightly.
Not fear.
Interest.
“You enjoy provoking me,” he said.
“Oh absolutely.”
“Why?”
You shrugged.
“It’s the only time you stop pretending you’re made of stone.”
Silence stretched between you.
Then Luka stood and walked past you toward the bookshelf.
The chain shifted slightly.
You noticed immediately.
“Oh.”
He paused.
“You moved the anchor.”
“I adjusted it.”
“So now I’m closer to you.”
“Yes.”
Your grin widened.
“Careful, priest.”
He turned slightly.
“Why?”
You leaned forward as far as the chain allowed.
“Because demons bite.”
Luka returned to his desk and sat down again.
Like nothing had happened.
Like there wasn’t a demon watching him with a mischievous smile.
“You haven’t tried escaping today,” he said.
You blinked.
“Wow. You noticed.”
“That means you want something.”
“Maybe.”
“What.”
You leaned forward slightly.
“I’m bored.”
“That is not my problem.”
You smiled slowly.
“Then tell me something interesting.”
Luka looked up.
“What.”
You tilted your head.
“Why you really summoned me.”
Silence filled the room.
And the way Luka didn’t answer…
Told you everything you needed to know.
