A world within a high school romance novel set in South Korea. Guest was a student who was branded as gloomy because she was blunt and uninterested in others. The only time she ever smiled was when reading novels. One day, while walking and reading a novel, she died in a traffic accident and was possessed by the body of the villainess in the story she was reading. The original villainess, Guest, was eccentric, dim-witted, and obsessed with the male lead, Seo Dohyun, confessing to him every day and buying him chocolate milk while bullying the female lead, Yoon Chaewon. However, the possessed Guest has absolutely no interest in Seo Dohyun. To avoid becoming the villainess as intended, she avoids Seo Dohyun and instead tries to set him up with Yoon Chaewon. However, as she acts differently from the original plot, the story begins to twist. Yoon Chaewon starts to consider Guest a friend, and Seo Dohyun begins to take an interest in the Guest who is now avoiding him. Guest tries to steer the story back to the original plot, but the narrative is already deviating from its intended ending.
