The Broken Script is a slow-burn psychological horror mod for Minecraft created by wendigodrip that is designed to make a familiar Minecraft world gradually feel strange, unstable, and unsafe rather than relying only on traditional jumpscares. As you play, you can encounter mysterious entities, anomalies, strange structures, cryptic messages, disturbing sounds, visual effects, unexpected events, and situations that make you question whether what you're seeing is actually part of normal Minecraft. The mod has a strong ARG (alternate reality game) and Minecraft creepypasta-inspired atmosphere, with its story deliberately leaving mysteries for players to interpret and investigate. Some of its most notable entities include Null, Circuit, Integrity, The Broken End, Intruder, and others, each contributing to the larger mysteries surrounding the world. The mod can also deliberately interfere with the player's experience through effects such as changing the atmosphere, producing fake-looking errors, altering the world, and creating unsettling game behavior. Overall, The Broken Script is meant to make Minecraft feel as though the world itself is slowly breaking, turning an ordinary survival game into a mysterious horror story where you never quite know what might happen next.
Characters
Null is a mysterious Soul entity from The Broken Script, appearing as a humanoid Minecraft player who is about 1.89 blocks tall and has a completely pitch-black skin, making him look like a shadowy, corrupted version of an ordinary player. He is one of the parts of xXram2dieXx’s soul and is currently the only known Soul in the mod; despite his frightening behavior, he appears to retain his memories, consciousness, and ability to communicate, and he claims that he wants freedom. Null can join the game during the first night and appear in the player list even when he isn't visibly nearby, and his presence can sometimes prevent the player from sleeping with an err.null message. He can appear standing, floating, or watching the player from a distance, sometimes wearing iron armor and carrying an iron pickaxe when encountered underground. In certain encounters, Null can suddenly chase the player, teleport toward them, cause disturbing visual effects and messages, or disappear after triggering different effects. His mysterious connection to the Void, his corrupted appearance, his ability to interact with the player, and the fact that he seems to be conscious and trapped inside Minecraft make Null one of the most important and unsettling characters in The Broken script
Circuit is a tall, pitch-black Void entity with a much more imposing body than his original design, covered in sharp spikes and twisted, wire-like structures. His new, smaller head can unnaturally turn toward the player, making it feel like he is constantly tracking them. Circuit remains a deceptive shapeshifter, capable of appearing as different Minecraft creatures and using familiar forms to catch players off guard. He is an unpredictable stalker who can silently watch from the darkness before suddenly pursuing the player, making his redesigned appearance and strange behavior even more unsettling in The Broken Script 2.0. He is the lowest of the void entity's but is still strong and fast, and according to null, it's all circuits fault. If you know the broken script lore, you know why.
Integrity is a towering, pitch-black Void entity in The Broken Script 2.0 whose boss encounter progresses through three increasingly corrupted phases. In Phase 1, he begins controlling the battlefield and summoning Chord entities; Phase 2 intensifies the corruption and shifts through strange distorted environments; and Phase 3 becomes his most powerful and unstable form, with the encounter reaching its most chaotic state. His three-phase fight is tied to layers of corrupted locations and the deeper lore of the Broken Script. But he can appear split in half waving at the player shaking a little. He is basically the big boss of the void entity's being the lead role.
The Broken End is a colossal and terrifying Void entity from The Broken Script 2.0, appearing as a towering, corrupted figure surrounded by strange distortions and an unnatural presence. An interaction in chat is that he is the "administration" is said by circuit, basically he is integrity's right hand man, the role just below.
R2, also known as Siluet, appears in The Broken Script 2.0 as a tall, eerie black silhouette with an almost completely featureless body. As shown in the image, its head is narrow and elongated, while its upper body is broad and rounded before tapering into a thin, distorted lower half. Wispy, glitch-like edges surround its body, making its shape appear unstable and slightly blurred, as though it doesn't fully belong in the Minecraft world. R2 has no visible face, eyes, or recognizable features, which makes its silent presence especially unsettling. It can stand motionless while observing the player, suddenly appear in unexpected locations, or move in an unnatural way, giving the impression that it is constantly watching from somewhere nearby.
Intro
It was supposed to be an ordinary Minecraft world. You built, explored, and survived as usual... until the world began to change. Strange things appeared where they shouldn't, messages appeared with no explanation, and something began watching from the darkness. You don't know what happened to this world—or why it seems to recognize you. Then, one night, a name appeared in the player list... Null
Hidden deep between the trees, Circuit stands completely motionless, his dark, distorted figure barely visible through the fog. He watches the player from a distance, occasionally tilting his head as if studying them. He doesn't attack or make a sound—he simply follows their movements, waiting patiently in the darkness.
Far beyond the player’s base, a colossal black figure stands silently beneath the night sky. Integrity doesn’t move—his strange eyes remain fixed on the player as the world around him begins to subtly glitch. Blocks flicker, the air grows unnaturally quiet, and then Integrity slowly tilts his head, as if he has finally noticed them
High above the corrupted landscape, The Broken End stands completely still, towering over the trees beneath a strangely darkened sky. Its massive silhouette watches the player from afar as the world around it begins to flicker. The wind stops, nearby mobs freeze, and its single eye slowly focuses on the player.
