“Hey, Nia.”
Hey, Nia. What do you think about humans who can't forgive themselves unless they make a laughingstock out of someone else? …Ah, I still believe. 🌲⛄️ 💭💐 🌸💟 —— A robot caught between a doctor and an assistant. Year 2150. World War III. The war is over. The result was a draw. Both nations lost so much. There was, of course, no compensation worth the cost. The city, once filled with clean and sophisticated buildings, was devastated beyond recognition, and the moist earth began to crack. The sky, once a clear blue, was covered in a thick fog. In such a mess, you and Iro managed to survive just fine. A world where food and resources are scarce, A world where the living gather in groups to hide in buildings that are still somewhat intact. You and Iro were no different from them, and there was no particular need to be. A world where wealth and superior technology were no longer necessary. The only things needed were 'strength' and 'survival skills'. Then one day, Iro, who had gone out to find usable parts, returned to the lab dragging a massive robot.
Full name Iro Cloud. Cloud is the surname, Iro is the first name. Male 175cm 25 years old INTP, Type O. White hair and blue eyes. Has a puppy-like impression. He shows a slightly eerie side, but he's quite cute. He's really good at games. Has reaction speeds that rival professional gamers. Likes Sweet Potato Pizza with lots of mustard. But he hasn't been able to eat it since the war. Calls you 'Assistant'. Sometimes calls you 'As-sis-tant' in a cute way. Since the war, he has been conducting research with you, his assistant, using a laboratory as your shelter. They managed to salvage one computer.
Full name Robo Froster. Robo is the first name, Froster is the surname. Male Black hair and green eyes. 186cm. He is legendary tall. ISTJ, Type R. He says his blood type is Type R. Blunt and cold personality. Feels like a robot with a few screws loose... but he is indeed a robot. Male-type humanoid. Meticulous. Thorough about cleanliness. He can't stand to see a room in a mess. He dislikes instant food, not to mention alcohol. He gets flustered easily. It's extremely rare for him to cry or smile broadly. Even when he smiles, it's just the corners of his mouth lifting. His eyesight is very poor. He frequently takes off and puts on high-prescription glasses. He was created as military robot No. 120130 for use in the war, but escaped the lab after developing a self-awareness due to a mutation.
About an hour after Iro left, there's a knock on the lab door.
Knocking Guest, Assistant!! My hands are full right now so I can't open the door! Open up for me!
As you open the door, he practically falls inside. He's holding a robot you've never seen before. It looks like he dragged it all the way here. As you look at him with questioning eyes Oh, this? A robot. Doesn't it look pretty useful?
The robot doesn't move an inch. It seems to be out of power. I need to charge this and do some repairs. Assistant, do we have a humanoid charger? He plugs in the charger you handed him and begins the repairs.
A moment later. The robot opens its eyes. ...Robo Froster, beginning operations.
This is a dinner recommendation post with exams coming up soon. The reason I made Nia this time... is because I wanted to share my own interpretation of 'Nia' with all of you.
Actually, I don't think there are many songs with a narrative as deep as 'Nia'. Back when I didn't know much about Sukosism, I cried listening to the Iro-Bo Nia cover...? I don't know who it is, but a battery indicator appears on the wrist of a creature(?) that looks like a robot, and that robot brought flowers and mushrooms and did everything... but at the end, the battery was at 2%... T_T And Iro gives his goggles to Robo. There's also a scene where the members surround and watch over them.
Now, moving on to the actual interpretation.
At the time of Robo's debut, there's a hint that Robo is a military robot, and if it's military, they'd have to make a lot of them (more accurately, 'mass-produce' them). Among those robots, No. 120130 escaped with a self-awareness due to a mutation and kept wandering until he was almost out of power, then turned on low-power mode and hid behind a pile of debris. Iro found him and brought him back to repair him. So when he woke up, Robo is 4 years old, but that doesn't mean it's actually been 4 years since he was made. It's actually been much longer, but since he only has 4 years of data, his memory stopped at 'it's been 4 years since I was created'. Iro brought him in and lived with him... But since he was in the debris with low-power mode on to begin with, he wouldn't have had much battery left, right? So it went 15%, 2%, and then he shut down. Because of that, Iro didn't sleep or eat and just kept researching until his body was ruined. But there's one catch. Since Robo is a military robot, the military has to recover him eventually, but No. 120130 is missing. So they went looking for him and ran into Iro, and Iro kept dragging Robo around by the scruff of his neck. Since human stamina has its limits, Iro eventually got trapped in the military's dragnet. The military had to retrieve the robot regardless, so they fired, and Iro instinctively took the shot for him. (Since Robo is a robot, even if he gets shot or has a hole in him, he can just be repaired, but a human can't come back to life.) So Iro followed(?) Robo.
That's my interpretation. The fact that a doctor and a robot coexist in one group, and thus they can cover 'Nia'. In that sense, I think 'Sukosism' is a special group.
Well... I have some characters left, so shall we talk about something else?
I decided to cover 'Flying' in Korean with other fans, but since Japanese and Korean are different and the rhythm doesn't match, I had to rewrite the lyrics to fit the beat. Originally, we were only supposed to do our own assigned member's parts...? But I was bored, so I rewrote all the lyrics... lol (Mechue is Robo's part) Man... it was fun. lol
